You've just made the first step to depression recovery!
Despite the odds and how you are feeling you've managed to look for some hope for curing your depression (or to help some one you love or care about who is depressed).
Firstly, depression is an illness. There is no shame in it, it does not make you a freak. 8 in 10 people will suffer from depression at some stage in their life. You are not alone! It's a world-wide (and non western) phenomena too. Depression in India is estimated at 23%.
Depression works on 3 levels; the physical, the mental and the emotional.
1) The physical: Exercise. Even a walk! It really WILL help. Exercise (even dancing) releases chemicals in the brain that alleviates depression. Follow your routine. GET UP at a proper time. Wash, shave/makeup. Get dressed. Comb your hair. EAT even if you only pick at your food. Go to places, even when you don't want to.
Diet (food types) is still controversial, but we do know some foods make us lethargic and as cliche as it sounds, fresh fruit and water, are what our less depressed ancestors used to eat. Just try it. It's not like you care anyway ;-)
Drink Green Tea in the morning. Stop taking alcohol and coffee.
Drink Jasmine tea 30 minutes before bed at night.
Use ylang-ylang and lavender essential oils for aromatherapy and on a hankie you carry with you. It may sound "girlie" it is not! How can you call mother nature girlie?
If you are having problems sleeping, and/or you are fatigued or tired, then you need to adddress that as well. Being tired/fatigues is another cyclic symptom and condition of depression. I have an excellent ebook on that, but I need to find it for you.
It will all help considerably! Try it and then tell me I am wrong...
2) The Mental: Chances are a situation, or more likely, a handful of people, have got you down. Maybe for a long time (i.e. your family or partner for years). They probably don't mean to. But most people are just oblivous beyond themselves.
You may have worked it all out coldly and logically and decided there is no hope. You are wrong! Want to argue? Good! You are still alive then ;-) Circumstances can change. The worst that can happen, seldom does. And if you plan for it, it could be a vast improvement to where you think you are stuck now.
As strange and unbeliable as it may seem, the Abraham Law of Attraction by Esther & Jerry Hicks, whether you can believe it at face value or not, was one of the best revelations I have had. I highly recommend the DVD. It is available via Amazon on this very page.
It make as much sense, if not more so, than a God. Just take it like a fable, more than at face value, if you are uncomfortable with the cocnept of channeling.
You need to experience the full thing several times, but here are two extacts I take from it:
1) "it is OK to be happy". That may sound daft, but you are probably depressed because a handful of other people don't think you should be, if they are not. Well feck them!
If you are unhappy because you are not congruent with whom you need to be, just go be that person. Ignore the mockers and worriers. Nothing is irreversable. Just try it!
2) "Concentrate on the positive". The second revelaton for me was to concentrate on the positive, which is largely what the L.O.A. is about. That explanation simply can not do it justice. There are a dozen DVDs that can go in to it more detail if you wanted to. If you see some of the workshops, with real people, with real problems and how they are answered, you will start to undertsand.
The point is we are conditioned to worry about the bad, the negative, the failures and the plague for success. Where as if you can become at one with yourself, you'll soon relaise that matters little.
3) The Emotional:
If you are feeling desperate and are thinking of suicide, ring the Samaritans, or a similar help group) first. They will not judge you or lecture you. But they may be able to help you to see that you have NOT yet got all the answers. Not by a long way.
The other life (albeit an energy) in the state you die in, coud be 1000 times worse than where you think you are now! And that might last for eternity with no way out. There may not be a hell, but Marvin (the paranoid android from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) does not get in to any heaven.
You'll have to trust me. You do not have all the answers. Things can (and do) change. Why not for you? And there is hope. There is joy for you. It won't come on it's own. You have work to do.Nobody else can just give it to you. here is no magic button. But why are you here, if you don't know that already?
If you can give me time, I can show you that you have been looking at things from the wrong side. It's not about a thing, or arriving at a place, or achieving a state of something (i.e. wealth or peer respect).
But I need "time" to show you that...
Give yourself that time. Give yourself that chance. Don't you owe yourself that opportuntiy for more of the complete story?
Meantime, we have some products here which have the room to explain more, while you prepare for me. If you think you ARE ready for me, sign up to the 100% FREE "7 seconds which will change your life" on my personal blog at PeterBuick.com (or use the form bottom right). YES I am a real person. I am not a faceless ebook seller. I have been depressed myself. I know what it is like. I didn't think I'd get through it either. I am living proof YOU can!
I promise you will smile and laugh again...
And I don't like being wrong ;-)
Peter.
